Rained heavy early this am, bit of a break now, but no doubt more in a bit.  WSW 9-10ft@ 9-13 sec’s with light SW winds, air temp at 45, water temp at 56.  Low tide at 7:07am, sunrise at 7:18am.  Later today, WNW 10ft@ 10 sec’s with light SW winds, 60% thunderstorms and rain with a high of 52.  High tide at 1pm.  This evening WNW 10-12ft@ 14 sec’s with light SSE winds, low of 43, clouds and 40% chance of rain. Sunset at 4:42p, and minus low tide at 8pm.

LONG PERIOD SWELL CAN SHARPEN INTO LARGE BREAKING WAVES IN SHOALING AREAS. IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR WAVES TO BREAK MUCH FARTHER FROM SHOALING AREAS THAN IS NORMALLY EXPERIENCED. REMEMBER… BREAKING WAVES CAN EASILY CAPSIZE EVEN LARGER VESSELS
