Let’s get this out of the way first thing….. yes, yesterday around 3:30p, there was a shark attack at Indian Beach, it is unknown at this time what kind of shark. Person was bit on the thigh and ankle. He was flown to Emmanuel in Portland, and is expected to be OK after some extensive care. From what I can see, there are several reports out there. This was the 2nd attack that I can recall, the first one was on Oct. 23, 1988, a 21yr old surfer Wyndham Kapan was bit on the upper leg. He survived his attack.

Hard to believe that with this beautiful weather, the storms that are on the way, and the big swells ….. if nothing else, will be a great stormy weather weekend.
On the shark attack…. the most annoying thing I noticed while our Fire Dept and Police Dept. were busting butt to take care of this guy, the number of people walking up on the scene with their damn cell phones taking pictures, and as the patient was being put in the ambulance, they had to walk up and take cell phone pics, actually standing at the door to do it! WTF!
