WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTH OREGON COAST AND SOUTH WASHINGTON COAST FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM PST THIS EVENING… A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM PST THIS EVENING. * TIMING… A MIXTURE OF SNOW… SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL BEGIN LATE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO EARLY EVENING. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS… SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE RELATIVELY LIGHT. THE BEST CHANCE FOR AN INCH OF SNOW WILL BE NORTH TOWARD ASTORIA AND LONG BEACH. * ICE ACCUMULATIONS… UP TO A QUARTER INCH OF ICE IS POSSIBLE… ESPECIALLY WELL INLAND. * IMPACTS… AREAS INLAND MORE THAN A COUPLE MILES WILL BE AFFECTED THE MOST. … SIGNIFICANT WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT… .A STRONG WINTER STORM WILL BRING MIXED PRECIPITATION ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON TODAY AND TONIGHT. SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS SPREAD NORTH OVER THE AREA TODAY… CONTINUING IN THE NORTHERN AREAS TONIGHT… AND THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE INTO FRIDAY. THIS IS THE STRONGEST STORM OF THIS TYPE IN QUITE A WHILE.

Honestly, not sure what to expect down  here today……  Winter Storm warning…. It is damn cold and windy, and dry so far.  Surf looks beautiful, with the exception of the E winds howling 20+mph this morning.  SW swell 4ft@ 12 sec’s , water temp at 52.  High tide was at 6:55am, sunrise at 7:45am.
By noon or so, SW 3-4ft@ 10 sec’s with ESE winds 20-30mph, high of 37 today , cloudy and 80% chance of precipitation. Low tide at 1:28p, and sunset at 4:30pm. Tonight SW 3-4ft@ 10 sec’s with S winds 10-20mph, gusts 40mph, low of 37 with 80% chance of rain. High tide at 7:16pm.

Friday: SW 7-8ft@ 10 sec’s with SW winds 10-15mph, low of 43, high of 47, clouds and 90% chance of rain.
Saturday: W 15-20ft@ 12 sec’s with WSW winds 10-17mph, 42/48, 90% rain and thunder
Sunday: W 8ft@ 12 sec’s with WSW winds 10-12mph, 39/47, clouds and 90%
Monday: W 5-6ft@ 13 sec’s with light NNE winds, 30/46, clouds and 80%
Tuesday: WNW 3-4ft@ 12 sec’s with ENE winds 5-10mph, 28/40, am clouds 10%, pm sun
Wednesday: WNW 1-2ft@ 15 sec’s with E winds 5-10mph, 32/40, am clouds 20%, pm sun
