Today’s festivities to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Beach Bill have begun on the beach…. Haystack Rock Awareness people are out, Sandcastle building Demo is starting up, the presentations and speeches will begin around 9:30a out in front, and more all day on the beach.    This morning, WSW 7-8ft@ 11 sec’s with light SW winds, about 46 and cloudy with 50% chance of rain.  Had some heavy rain most of the night and very early morning.  Later W 7-8ft@ 11 sec’s with WSW winds 10-15mph, high of 53, cloudy and 40% chance of rain.  Sunrise was at 5:45am, minus low tide at 9a, and high tide at 3:30pm, water temp at 54.  Tonight W 6-7ft@ 11 sec’s with W winds 5-10mph, a low of 45 and 90% chance of rain overnight. Sunset at 8:39p, and low tide at 8:53pm.  Bonfire and free S’More’s out in front of Surfsand Resort tonight.
