Ecola State Park is CLOSED due to failure of the main entrance road. Crews are evaluating road damage, weather and soil conditions and repair options. There is currently no timeline for reopening.  FYI…..
Been getting some phone calls about Ecola, hope this clears it up…..  40 and cloudy this morning, after a beautiful week!  West swell this morning 5.6ft@ 6.8-10 sec’s with light SE winds, water temp at 47.7.  Low tide was at 5:14am, sunrise at 7:07am and high tide at 11am.  This afternoon, swell is supposed to pick up to WNW 10ft?215 sec’s and light S winds, high of 49, clouds and 20% chance of rain.  Tonight  WNW 8ft@14 sec’s with S winds 5-10mph, and later building to 20-30mph, low of 43 and 100% chance of wind and rain. .SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 AM PST SUNDAY… …GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING… * WHAT…For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and seas 10 to 12 feet at 15 seconds expected. For the Gale Watch, west winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas 16 to 21 feet at 14 seconds possible. * Sunset tonight at 5:52pm and minus low tide at 5:55pm.
