Quite a bit going on around the shop lately,  yesterday  Haylie  “Munchkin” Graduated from Univ. of Portland, Nursing, we are extremely proud of her, and she will work the shop and do some lessons for a part of the summer, until she completes the testing etc. for her license.  Cody is about 1/2 way through the Oregon Police Academy, on his way to being a full time Cannon Beach Officer.  Not sure if he will have any time to do some lessons, going to be a busy summer!  Kevin, one of our newest joined the Cannon Beach Volunteer Fire, so he will be both busy at the shop, doing lessons and running to calls. Sandy will be out for a bit, as he is having his knee replaced, the same knee he had done about a year and a half ago.  It has not been a pleasant deal for him…. so, he will be out for a bit recovering.  We do have a few new people starting this year,  Danielle and  Emma will be back, both finishing up classes, and both will be available for lessons as well.  Jules is on her 4th job…musician…  “Adams and Costello”, playing some local venues. (photographer, yoga instructor, surf instructor).   All of this reminds me of the kids that have worked in the shop over the years.  The “Bird” Julie will have some announcements, she is living in the SD area, married to a Coast Guard officer,  “Meaner”  Mina has a jewelry manufacturing business,  Kirdy is in Bend doing work with kids,  Luke is a very successful elementary school teacher in Seaside, and the kids love him!  Paloma is in Maryland working for the State. Dave is in Montana, raising a family and working construction. And, so many more………
