Already a busy day in the shop…… we have had some sunbreaks, was a little cold this morning, around 47, but should warm up in the mid 60′s today. Water temp still about 57, W 4ft @ 8 sec’s with light NW winds. 10:30a high tide, and low at 3:45p light NW winds today. We might see some light rain tonight…… Wed. looking fun as well….. SW 4-5ft @ 12 sec’s with light SE winds. Then thursday, starts off about W 6ft @ 12 sec’s, but builds to W 8-10ft with W winds 12-20mph…. Friday , sunbreaks, warms up to the mid 60′s again, NW 8ft @ 12 sec’s with NW winds 12-15mph. Weekend, both Sat and Sun look like NW 4-5ft @ 15 sec’s with sunshine, high 60′s, light Nwinds, then Monday starts to pick up again to NW 8 @ 12 sec’s with NW Winds 15+mph.

One more day of some junky surf…… still has some size, high tide was at 5:50a, low tide around 12:30p today….. morning clouds, but we have had some nice sunbreaks….. air temp today about 56….. yesterday, the water temp hit 57, currently at about 56. Supposed to get some light rain this morning, then start to clear up as the day goes on….Weekend looking pretty damn good!! Today, W 6-8ft @ 9 sec’s with light NW winds. Saturday…..oh hell yes…… looks great!!…… W 6-7ft @ 13 sec’s, with Light NE winds, MOSTLY SUNNY and 65+…… Sunday still pretty good, some clouds, high still in the 60′s, W 6ft @ 12 sec’s with light N/NE winds. Then…. Monday and Tuesday, W/NW 4-5ft @ 14 sec intervals with light NW winds on monday, picking up to 15+ on tuesday. Wed. supposed to drop to SW 3-4ft in the am with light S winds, but picking up in the afternoon to SW 6-7ft with S winds 20+mph…..

Well, not as nice this morning as yesterday…… S winds 10- 20 mph, SSW 5-6ft @ 6 sec’s. Air temp a bit muggy this morning, both water and air at 53…… might be ok at a place with southern protection. Rest of the week picking up until Sunday. Wed. SW 6-7ft with S winds 15-20mph. Thursday SW 12-15ft with SW winds 15-20mph. Friday W 8-10ft with SW winds 15+mph. Saturday W 8ft iwth NW winds 10-12ft. Sunday W 6-7ft with light NW Winds. Got lots of comments on my mini rant a few days ago, all positive, seems I hit a nerve…. …… all I will say on that now, is that there seems to be a person with some “issues” , has deep conversations with himself and will “engage” others, who lately has been going up to IB on the weekends.

Got out early with Gordon….. surf was better, got smaller as the tide went out…. only one other guy out, he had the north end, so we took the center… you know, that etiquette thing…..W/NW 3-4ft @ 8 sec’s today with light N winds, should get some sunbreaks later this morning, and a high in the low 60s…. water temp 53-55….. was nice! Damn minus low tide at 8:30a, high tide at 3p.

Soooooo about time for a mini rant….. had a friend who got a load of crap from one of our “I own the beach” locals….. not a young guy, but an older guy….. this is even more embarrassing for our town…. for no good reason, he had to paddle south to give our friend a load of crap about respecting him and his family because he lives here…… we know who he is, and I do look forward to listening to the other side of the story, as our friend never had a chance to get a wave, drop in on him, or even get in his royal way….. I do have to say, we do have a few CB locals that do try to give attitude to visitors, and these idiots don’t understand who supports them…… our town, like most on the coast have one industry…. Tourism… this supports the hospitals, hotels, landscapers, every one who lives here….. we did have a chance to have another industry, but the do gooders shot that one down….. This being said and understood, those who DEMAND respect, usually don’t get it, respect is something earned….. anyone with some military background understands that concept. IF one happens to live here, and constantly gives grief to our visitors, maybe they should take a good look at how they are allowed to live in such a great place. This morning, while I was out in the water, I thought about the situation yesterday….. then I thought just how lucky I am to live and work in such a place, and have some good friends who also live and work here….. sitting outside, looking at the light house, the trees, Tillamook Head……. Damn, IT JUST DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!! And yes, it is OK to share it…….. (But, Etiquette…… learn it, use it, and if you happen to screw up, at least man up and apologize….. and most importantly, keep a smile on your face…… then they don’t know what you are thinking….) N/NW winds this morning around 10+, making it junky to exposed beaches with no NW protection…… yep…. figure that one out…… Smaller this morning as well. W 3-4ft @ 8 sec’s, with the damn minus low tide at 7:45a, high tide at 2:15p. N/NW winds expected to pick up for the afternoon, as usual, then drop off for the evening…. Might pick up to W 5ft by this evening??? Air temp today in the 60′s with sunbreaks later. Overcast this morning, and the water temp is over 53…… Weekend looks to be more of the same…

Minus low tide at 7am this morning…… WSW 5-6ft @ 10 sec’s, and it was easy to get a spanking on the sand bar…… might be some broken boards today……. high tide should be better….. 1:30p high tide. water is 53….supposed to get up to the high 60′s today, along with sunshine for the next 4 days…… hell yes!! The Dentist and pretty boy were the first ones out there……. saw a couple nice rights….. I paddled out with Greg, who is a partner of EOS surf shop in Sheboygan, Wi…… nice guy….. too bad the sand bar was showing him how unforgiving the NW surf can be….. but, he still had fun….. Good group heading out as I was leaving….. nice thing about IB, not many of the real assmunches come over……. hopefully we can keep it that way….. weird….smiling in the water!?!?!

Drove from one end of Cannon Beach to the other…… still dry. Pretty junky out today, WSW 6-8ft @ 7 sec’s with plenty of lumps and bumps in the water. Air temp and water temp are both 53 this morning, with a high of 57 today, and some supposed sunbreaks later. NW winds about 10-15mph today. Almost a minus low tide this morning at 5:40a ( I took the first set of pics at 6:15a), high tide at noon. Minus low tide the rest of the week….. damn it. Wed. WNW 5-6ft @ 12 sec’s with NW winds 10mph. Thursday W 4-5ft with N/NE winds 10mph. Friday W 5-6ft with light NW winds. Saturday W 4-5ft with light NW Winds. Sunday WSW 4-5ft with light S/Sw winds. Monday SW 3-4ft with S winds 10mph. Looks like partly cloudy from Wed through Sat, with some clouds on sunday. Overall, weekend looking pretty good.

Looks like one more day of “the funk”….. should start cleaning up on Wed. NW 6-7ft @ 13 sec’s witih light NW winds, clouds and 50. Thursday, sunshine…. NW 5-6ft @ 13 sec’s with light N winds.
