Started off with some rain, and looks like we might get more drizzles today…… surf is still pretty junky, WNW 7-8ft @ 9sec’s, but Friday looks like it will start to clean up for the weekend….. WNW 5-6ft @ 12 sec’s with light NW winds on Friday, Minus low tide at noon, and high tide at 5:30am. Saturday….. Sand Castle Day in Cannon Beach…. looks like sunshine, light NW winds, WNW 4-5ft @ 15 sec’s. Sunday WNw 4-5ft @ 13 sec’s with NW winds 8-10mph.
After quite a bit of thought, and with summer coming on, we are pretty busy around the shop…… I am going to “suspend” the blog for a while…… I had put up a quick note about a week or so ago, letting anyone know who reads this blog, that they can contact me directly to be added to our original email list….. The regular email list has been going on for about 5 or 6 years….. and , has been fun…. good people on the list, with great sense’s of humor, and a bunch of damn good surfers, both local and visitors….. This, I will continue with, along with the daily surf report on the front of our website….. the blog, just started to get redundant…… but, I may keep it on , just for announcements or special events in the area, and would welcome people to send in their “events” that they might want posted….. might turn it into more of a “bulletin board” for customers…..hell, might even add space for people to offer their used stuff for sale…… I am open to ideas…… Mark

Pretty junky this morning, NW winds 8-15mph, minus low tide at 10:20a, high tide at 5p. Swell is WNW 7-8ft @ 9 sec’s and building today and thursday to NW 8-10ft @ 10 sec’s . cloudy today, but clearing up thursday around noon with some sunshine…..
Thursday afternoon, Gary Linden will be here at our shop, he is bringing up some of the custom boards that were ordered, and some new boards for the shop. Stop by later in the day, not sure if we will break out the barbque or not, but we will have some beers and cocktails, and will talk story…… good time to discuss board design and big waves….
Weekend looking pretty good…. Friday to Sunday NW 6ft @ 15 sec’s with light NW winds…. some sun, some clouds, and air temps in the low 60′s, water in the high 50′s….. Monday drops to W 4ft @ 15 sec’s with sunbreaks….
Last pic is of the remains of the accident yesterday on the road in Ecola State Park….. This is summer, take your time driving in and out…. sides of the road off the pavement is soft dirt….. real soft! This time a conversion van dropped off the side, luckily for them, landed on a tree that kept them from rolling more times, and no one was hurt…. road was closed for several hours…..
