Just got back to the shop after watching the news channels about the bail out..... yes, they passed it...... Now, I am not going to get into the basic bail out part of the bill, as I could go on about that , but instead, the part of the bill I find most offensive. Started out last weekend as a 3 page bill..... when it was finally passed, guess what.... 455 pages of bullshit!!! Yes, politics as usual..... all the "earmarks" and "pork"...... how did it get passed??? By good old fashioned crooked politics.... "let me put this in the bill, then I will vote on it"..... and yes, even the Republican and Dem. Senators from Oregon were not innocent.... Wooden Frik'n arrows!?!?!?! And , both the guys running for Pres. were in support of this "mud sandwich"...... I think we are all screwed, as they both run off at the mouth about change..... well, the first time the "supposed" shit hits the fan, they all cave, and go running back to the comfort zones of corruption..... Pissed.... you bet I am..... and not at just one party, but both of them..... no winners in this group, except for those that had the huevos to vote no...... I will be looking for their names... I would think they are the true heroes of this mess........ I would have been much easier on this pile when they were just voting on the "bail out"....but no............ they have to get their greedy paws in the middle of it....... How about some honest answers for once..... how about voting on a bill , that is entirely that bill, with out all the bull attached....... crooked bastards!!! So...... was looking around the internet, found a couple links that were of interest...... seems I may not be the only one sticking my head out the window and yelling "we are not going to take it anymore"!! Now..... the first one to send me back an email about how this was all "________'s fault " can take that one to the dark spot....... Sunday morning rant.......  delete now if you want... won't hurt my feelings........ For such a shitty week, we had lots going on.....  but, the main comments for the last couple of days between the market and the surf shop has been the  fuking weather!!  Main comment " Global Warming.... Bull Shit!!"  I don't think Al could sell any of his books around here this week.... and, before all the "know it all's" send me emails explaining how it works (typically more BS).... I will let you know that I am in the "undecided group".  But right now, with all this damn lousy weather,  I am leaning against it.     Yesterday, we had the beach clean up day.....  I do have to give compliments to those that actually made the trek and went out on the beach to help out.... it was cold.....no, I mean COLD!!!  Wind chill on the beach was about 22  , God Bless those that went out there!    And, I am in an extra good mood today, because we rec'd a phone call here at the shop, saying I had won the "big prize" at a local church drawing that I purchased a few tickets for.......  not sure what the "big prize" is , but am reminded of a Christmas Story where Darin McGavin won the lamp made out of a plastic women's leg........ we will see!   Get some surf this week!!!!!
