But he will take up the banner on Tuesday. Monday WSW 4-6ft @ 15 sec’s with SE winds 8-10mph. Sandy will be covering the shop, while I am gone, so anyone who stops by, be kind to him….. he is not the old bald guy who yells a people….. well, most of the time anyway…….
Monday is our son’s 33rd Birthday…. yep, can’t believe it, 33 years ago in San Luis Obispo, the Capt. was born….. had one hell of a party at the “1865 Bar/ Rest.” in SLO…. the guys had to drive me to the hospital to see Maria …… they dumped me off in the elevator with flowers and a case of champagne…… I was pretty well on my lips……. Sunday will drop even more….. WSW 6-7ft @ 14 sec’s with light S winds. High tide around 1p. Morning might be pretty good…… Monday- Friday, I will be out of town, and it looks like the surf will be pretty damn good…. I should get paid to leave town, as it tends to be good when I am gone…. All week looks like WSW 5-7ft with Light SE winds, and intervals 10+ sec’s…… I will be back next Friday afternoon, so, not sure what to expect for next weekend, except for a few new toys in the shop. Went over and had coffee with the SB and Hansen….. not much going on there, except the whining by SB…… Have a great weekend…… looks like it will be good!

Glad I went yesterday…. looking kinda nasty today…… also glad I went out on this side of the mountain…… had only 2 other guys out, and both had smiles on their faces. Rumor has it that on the otherside , much attitude and unsmiling faces….. Life is good! Today, WSW 12-15ft @ 10-15 sec’s with SE winds 15mph, high tide at 11am, air temp in the mid 50′s, water 50. Saturday WSW 12ft @ 15 sec’s with light S winds, dropping later in the day. Sunday WSW 8ft with light S winds. Monday SW 5-6ft with light SE winds. Tuesday SW 8-10ft with light S winds. Wed. SW 8-10ft with light S winds. Thursday SW 8ft with S winds 15mph. So…. today is visitors blog day………. Going to start with one of our favorites, at least for this week…. Mr. Flounder…… FLOUNDERS BLOG
Special Edition: Travels With Mekenas
This could very well be the last time I post anything on the CBS Website. I know, some of you have been hoping for that for a long time. For the rest of you, here is why. I will be heading down to San Diego on Sunday for a work/fun trip. as with all things that occur in the universe if you are in tune with it, it just so happens that my work responsibilities and Marks annual trip to the ASRC are at the same time.
So, it was already planned for Smokin Hot to meet me down there on the last “work” day, for a little surfing and a Tijuana Run, and then Mekenas tells me he is headed down and will be there at the same time. Great, hang out with Mark, go to the surf show, sounds good.
Then the emails start rolling in. As it stands right now, I will either be in the back of a patrol car with a ugly transvestite, thanks to Marks sister, (Uh, she is not the ugly transvestite just for the record), or beaten to death by his deranged mother for not coming out to El Cahones for dinner.
Anyway you look at it, I will either come back sworn to secrecy, or have blog material to last a lifetime, as well as great blackmail stuff.
Bottom line, I might not make it back. Good news for you guys at the Cove, I won’t be out at The Point stealing your waves anymore.
Stay tuned, buckle up and hold on, this could be a fun ride.
Flounder
Next is the ongoing saga of the new Frog Eyes Wasabi project, aka Markus…..

Friday is “visitors blog day”…….. should be some interesting stuff……… just got back from some water time….felt good to surf Indian again, high tide, so it was big and mushy, with an occasional hollow spanker…… Most waves were chest to head high, water temp and air temp about the same at 50, and an easy channel to paddle out in…. but, they were tough to get into…… WSW 6@ 13 sec’s , high tide was at 10am, minus low tide tonight at 5:30p. Glad I went up early… no crowds, at most 1 or 2 other guys out….. overall, a damn nice morning….. especially after watching the campaign speeches last night….. yep , watched the long one first and the short one second… what a bunch of BS…. damn, are we that stupid to believe stuff coming from the cesspools in Washinton, Salem, and hell, why not add Olympia and Sacramento….cover the west coast…… I can honestly say, that both of the parties are just full of crap….. and we elected these bozo’s!?!?!??!? Hey, maybe we might be getting smarter this time…… get the old arrogance out… tired of the politics as usual…change…. don’t see any….looked like the same old elcrappola to me…… So…. I am in a damn good mood….got a handful of fun waves…… life is good, I can deal!!! Next week, Mo has promised , along with Gary that I will get some fun surf….. if not, Mo has offered a few body bags….. what a sweet little sister she is…….
Friday & Saturday, WSW 10-12ft @ 15 sec’s, with light S/SE winds. Then Sunday, drops to about W8ft @ 15 sec’s with light SW winds. Monday WSW 5-6ft with light S winds. Tuesday WSW 7-8ft with SE winds 15mph. Wed. WSW 7-8ft with light SE winds…. naturally, I will be out of town, so the surf will clean up nicely, and be nothing but fun……. I should get a big thank you on that one!!
Have a great day……sorry for the political crap….. been on overload for a time…….

Yes….. I am in the shop…. surf is good!!! It is killing me…… but, the old chief has to go in for oral surgery this morning…… but, Thursday is looking very good….. the Thursday report will be late!! Today…. WSW 6ft @ 10-13 sec’s, very light E winds. Air temp this morning was 35 , but should warm up to the low 50′s…. sun is breaking out, going to be one fantastic day!!! For those Aussie’s….. happy belated “Aussie Day” yesterday….. Also, Congrats to Mike and Aleka on the birth of their boy on the 21st! ………. Thursday, W 4-6ft @ 12 sec’s with light SE winds. high tide at 10am, low tide at 5:30p. Friday picks up again…. W 12-14ft with S winds 15-25mph. Saturday W 10-12ft with light SW winds. Sunday, drops to W 7-8ft with light SE winds… Monday and Tuesday looking good as well……
Morning rant…… very short……. Yesterday, we the small business owners took another “black eye” from the voters and government….. we got hit with a retro tax increase by the passage of 66 / 67…. this along with the increases we will have to pay the fed’s because the bush era decreases were rescinded……. Not a great day to be in business for yourself….. now it is up to the accountant to see what we will have to cut back on…….. Have I mentioned how much I dislike the “career” elected officials?

Went over and had coffee with the Sandy this morning, logs, rocks and stuff washing across the road… one hell of a tidal push going on….. Tuesday should start to drop a bit to WSW 12ft @ 15 sec’s with light NE winds. Wed. gets better, with W7-8ft @ 15 sec’s and light SE winds. Thursday SW 5-6ft @ 15 sec’s with SE winds 20mph. high tide at 10am. Friday starts to pick up again, SW 12-15ft @ 15 sec’s and S winds 20mph. So…. work is the call of the day….. Have a good one! Little late this morning, had some visitors in the shop early….. swell did drop, as we thought… W 6-7ft @ 6-10 sec’s with light SE winds this morning, supposed to pick up with gusts 25+mph later. Rumor has it that there is some decent surf where there is protection from the S winds……. Mon and Tues look like it will pick up again, peaking at around 25ft. Then Wed and Thursday looking like 5-8ft and light E winds. Low tide at 1:30p today. Little colder this morning, and some light rain. Had some good “old” surfers in from San Clemente, flipped a ton of shit…… good guys, good attitude, but then what else would one expect from old surfers…… hell, we are just happy when we can get out….. let the “younger’s” have the attitude!!! Have a great week….. shows some promise!!
