December 22nd, 2009
Sun breaks today, but cold this morning….. looks like we are in for clearer sky’s, but colder mornings…. about 38 this am…. Swell is pretty good sized and junky, but will start to clean up today…. W 11ft @ 9sec’s with NW winds 15-20mph today. water temp dropped to 46, high tide at 3:30p, low at 10am. The next few days are showing some real promise….. so, if you can get down here, (snow on 26)….. hotels are offering great deals….. as are the Rest’s….. Wed. NW 6-7 ft @ 12 sec’s with light SE winds. High tide at 4:45am. Thursday (Christmas Eve) W 7-8ft @ 12 sec’s SE winds 15mph. Friday (Christmas Day) W 6-8ft @ 14 sec’s with SE winds about 15mph. Saturday SW 12 @ 18sec’s with SE winds 20mph. Sunday SW 10-12ft @ 14 sec’s, with SE winds 12mph. Monday SW 7-9 ft @ 13 sec’s SE winds 15mph.
Spent the morning doing some on line research for a customer, but had the BBC in N ireland on, so I could hear our old buddy….. and I mean , it is nice to see this guy age….. Patterson… seems they are having some nasty snow and ice there, along with traffic problems…. I offered some suggestions, but he declined…. also heard from Nick Flack in the UK, he was sitting in his camper van, making beans for the kids in the neighborhood while they were out playing in the snow…. First day of the real Winter….. cold here, and cold there…. Nick’s story brought back alot of memories of when we had small kids and lived in Seattle with the snow…… good times!!! Have a great day!! I have some smiles going on….. and got to flip loads of shite over to the old country…… damn, the day can only get better!!! And the surf better for the week!!!!
