Not as foggy as yesterday, but surf still looking crappy this morning. SW winds 20mph early, but dropping off to light W later. Minus low tide at 7:10am and high at 1:30p today. W-3-5ft @ 9sec's. Friday, W 4ft @ 10 sec's with light N winds and minus low tide at 8am. Sat. NW 7ft (believe it when I see it) wtih N winds 20+, Sunday NW8ft with N winds 20+.... Monday NW 6ft wtih NW winds 15mph. Got this note this morning from one of our buddies in Warrenton.... had to share it!!! "Hi Mark, since you're a dog lover, I thought I'd run a quandary past you...... When I'm not surfing at our nice beach, I spend a lot of time walking the dog. I think I'm a good dog owner and clean up the shit. Yesterday my dog was about 50 yards ahead of me and took a dump. Obnoxious Canadian kiter walked right over and immediately lit into me as I strolled up. Should I: 1. Be a good citizen and deal with the stuff? 2. Leave it there and hope he steps in it? 3. Pick it up and throw it at him and his high tech junk? Also, how come most kiters wear board shorts and rashguards on the outside of their wetsuits? Inquiringly, Paul Hammond, Oregon " Comments to this post via email: "Tell him 'Hey cement head (Canadian term) I've got it handled'. Or carry a hockey stick and beat him with it. He should understand that. Comes from and ex hockey player who dealt with them on and off the ice. :)"

"If you know why kiters wear their board shorts on the outside then you will also know why superman wears his underpants on the outside "

Just got this from Pierre / Linden Surfboards...... pretty wild waves...... Now on a less funny note, but still really really cool - great for Gary, check those links to Surfline: http://www.surfline.com/video/featured-clips/el-dia-despues_29737 I focus on Twiggie and I let that the camera film him by it self, meanwhile I was the only one watching at my right hand Gary Linden surfing one wave beside Los Morros [rock outcropped in front of the wave] it worth it ?BECAUSE THAT HISTORICAL IMAGE WILL STAY FOREVER IN MY MEMORY MORE THAN ANY XXL ?? Gordon and I went up early...... couldn't see anything, so we walked down to the waters edge to see if we could check the surf..... looks like yesterday..... except foggy..... waist high, and tight intervals.... now, around 8:30am, still damn foggy. Minus low tide was at 6:30am, so we were able to walk into the "surfers depository", where typically "surfers" that don't under stand the rip currents at the north end, have to get "plucked" by the Coast Guard...... many stories on that....... It was interesting to see just how much sand has washed up this year..... rocks that normally stick out about 8ft, were only showing about 2 ft...... says alot for the sometimes brutal shorebreak. Surf reports are calling for NW7ft @ 10 sec's with light N winds, and high tide at 12:45pm. Thurs. W 5ft @ 10 sec's with minus low tide at 7:10a, high at 1:30p, and light SW winds. Friday W5ft with light N winds Sat and Sun NW7ft wtih N winds 20+ later in the day.

Brook and Cory showed off their new designs, and did a bunch of giveaways...... Rob Schultz manned the stove and cooked all the food that NOHO had left for us..... way too good..... and way too much!! We had over 50 people show, and we also had mucho Primo beer to drink...... no shortage there!!! Then, Cory set up a video projector to show the movie "The Present" on the side of our new "great white" step van....... worked so well, we might try to do a couple more movies at night before it starts to get too cold....... good food, good people, good drinks...... damn, what more can one ask for..... Cory will be putting up more shots on our facebook thing later...... "should have been there!"
