Nice morning….. had some light rain last night, but today, air temp in the 70′s….. sunshine….. NW 4-5ft @ 9-10 sec’s, with light S winds, high tide at 9:45am, and low tide at 2:45p….. Much cleaner than the past few days…..weekend looking pretty good. Sat. NW 4ft @ 10 sec’s with light NW winds and high tide at 10:50am, low at 3:50p. Sunday NW 5ft with light N winds, high at 11:40am, -low tide at 5:15am….. Monday NW 6ft with light NW winds, and the damn minus low tide at 6am……… Tuesday NW 5ft with light W winds and damn minus low tide at 6:40am……

I feel for those of you stuck in the valley…… over 100 for another day….. yesterday, it was foggy on the beach, temp in the mid 70′s, but about a mile inland or less, it was 85…….. this morning, fog again….. cold water and hot air east of us…. equals fog… going to be in the mid 70′s today…… surf is looking (when you can see it) about waist to chest high, NW 4-5ft @ 9 sec’s….. no wind this morning, as witnessed by the limp flag in the photo taken off our back deck. Winds are supposed to be SW later, but still light. High tide at 8:30am , and low tide at 1:40p…… good evening for a barbque and cocktails tonight……. somewhere! Friday, NW 5ft @ 10 sec’s with light S/SW winds and high tide at 9:45am. Weekend looking like NW 4-5ft with light NW winds, picking up a bit on Monday to NW 6ft with light SW winds. More later………….

Got out EARLY this morning with Bird and Jyanail…. had a few fun waves, then it started closing out…. probably will get better as the tide starts to pull out a bit….. water is still damn cold….. gloves were really nice!! (Bird went gloveless.. not happy)….. Surf was waist to chest , a bit junky but still some fun ones…. NW 4-5ft @ 8-10 sec’s with light NW winds today. 7:15am high tide, low tide at 12:45p. Beaches were crowded yesterday….. IB will probably fill up by 11am, with the one in and one out deal……. our high temp today will be in the 80′s, supposed to hit 107 in the valley…..
Rest of the week looking fun…. thursday NW 6 @ 14 sec’s with light SW winds Friday, NW5 with light S winds, Sat. NW 4ft with light NW winds, Sunday NW4ft with light NW winds…… If you are going out, be patient, keep your negative attitude in the car or in the valley…. it is going to be crowded in every popular spot….. try to keep the smile on your face, and no doubt, someone will drop in…… remember…. surfing is supposed to be fun, if it isn’t, then stay the hell out of the water…….

While cleaning up outside where we wash the wetsuits, I found a wedding ring in the sand…… must have been someone who rented the last week or so, and it was left inside the glove??? Got out for another morning fun time…… an interesting group this morning….. Cheap Bastard, Finger, Stuck up, Slomo…. and a couple more….. waves were everything from mushy, junky and some would stand up and get steep…. shore break had some teeth to it…… waist to chest…. NW 4-5ft @ 8-10 sec’s…. high tide was at 6am, no wind, but supposed to be light winds all day… high of 84 down here….. Wed., NW 6 @ 9 sec’s with light NW Winds and high tide at 7:15am Thurs. NW 6 with light N winds, high at 8:30am Friday and Sat. NW 5 with light NW Winds……
So…. we are out there this morning…. early, tough to get into them, as the tide started out, got a bit easier, but still had to work…… so….. there I am going down the wave….and who is paddling out in front of me…… the infamous Finger….. I can do one of two things….. cut in front of him, or head straight for him….. naturally, since he is a long time friend, I took option 2…. went for him…… then, as if everyone else in the water sees what is going on, starts to chant…. ” take him out”…. over and over….even from the parking lot, I can hear this chant……” take him out”……. wow….. in one clean move, I can make so many happy…….. then at the last minute, I remember….. wait….he is a friend of mine……. so, I just clipped him…… HEY….. what are friends for???? He gave me 1/2 of the peace sign…… damn, got that warm and fuzzy feeling…..

I got back from El Salvador last night (safe and sound with a little help from my friend in photo #79). The weather, of course, was very warm and humid, the people were great, and the surf was non stop. We even took a day to see some Mayan ruins. It was a great trip.

Finally got some water time….. no crowds this morning, but a good group in the water….. Arnold, Samoan Eric, Gordonite, girls from Olympia, Finger, Jyanail and a few other guys…… surf was OK…. bit on the junky side, and you had to wait a while between sets….. but, some fun waves…. waist to chest….. water still on the damn cold side….. and fog, but not as bad as the last few days….. sun is out now….. NW 4-6ft @ 10 sec’s today, looks like some W/SW light winds this morning….. high tide was at 5am, low tide at 11am….. hell yes….. felt good to paddle……
Tuesday looks like more of the same…. NW 6 @ 9 sec’s, high tide at 6am….. going to hit it a little later in the am Wed. NW 5ft high at 7:15am, light NW winds…. Thurs and Friday NW 5ft with light N winds….. high tide 8:30 on Thursday, and 9:40 on Friday……
I do wish I had been up to Indian on Sunday Morning, to see the ass munch RV people who left one huge mess up there…… and took up a bunch of the parking…if anyone has a pic, I would gladly post it……

Foggy again…. damn hot weather in the valley……. can’t see the surf, but sounds like it picked up some…… later…. still can’t see anything…. NW 7ft @ 8 secs, with no wind this morning, but again…the afternoon winds….. rest of the week is looking like W/NW 5-6ft…… Slammed today and yesterday in the shop…… got to get wet in the morning

Going to be hot up in the city today…. this morning, FOGGY!….. hell, you can barely see the beach…… but, no wind this morning, and the air temp in the mid 50′s….. sun should start to burn this off late morning and turn out to be a great day at the beach.
Today, and for a little bit, we could actually see the waves, NW 8ft, with some 10 ft clean up sets @ 10-12 sec’s, minus low tide at 9:40am, and high at 4p. Winds , as usual , will pick up in the afternoon…… Sunday, about the same, but the swell will drop to NW 7 @ 10 sec’s….. Then Mon – Wed….. NW 5-6ft with light N wind in the morning and evening…. picking up for the afternoon……
Just going to work today , will surf Mon……….. get to the beaches early…. probably pretty busy……
