We are beginning the final stages of the remodel……… our favorite concrete guy… Ray Prom is back with his crew, cutting up the front parking lot, getting ready to pour the planters and curbs on thursday….. Maria and Kellye are just going to drink some wine and watch the crew work…. and all of this, with Charles (the crusty chief) back from his bout with his heart…. glad to have him back!!!!

Drove around….. had coffee with some friends just north of here (cove) while we watched the morning surf sort of thing….. junky today, and low tide this morning…… but, we did get to watch Pat have his morning Banana…………… never knew he was such a sexy man…….. Then took a drive over to IB, where SB said it would be Epic….. well, wasn’t epic…….. so much for SB’s predictions…… W 6-9ft @ 10 sec’s with SW winds 20+mph….. Thursday might have a chance….. W9ft with light E winds…. might give it some time in the morning to get some water in , then go take a look……?????? Can only hope!! Friday a little different, W9ft with light NW winds, again, wait a bit….. it will no doubt be “epic” as I will be off to Salem in the morning………. SAt. W 13 ft with NW winds 20+mph…… just hope it won’t rain around 3p, as Noho is bringing the Luau to the back of the shop!!!! Roasted Pig, Noho’s Chicken, Yakasobi Noodles, Sticky Rice, so veggies….. and most importantly…. his MAC SALAD!! Byob…… HELL YES!! Some great Food from Noho’s!!!!! Stop by! IT will be great!! Sunday, about the same, W 13ft with lighter NW winds……. Raining today……. so, will probably do some work…… have a great day…… can’t wait for Saturday and some great food!!!!

Overcast, light SW winds this morning, West swell 7-9ft @ 9 sec’s, but looks like some smaller sets as well. high tide around noon….. Wed looks about the same except with SW winds 25+, Thursday NW9ft with light E winds…??????? maybe!!!! Friday and Sat. W 13ft with NW winds…. “If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 min’s and it will change”…….. Friday…. off to the city…..

Just got back from a quick walk to take the morning pictures…… noticed that some nice dog owner had left the blue bag of gifts along with their coffee cup by the stairs heading down to the beach…… WTF?? Pick up the dog crap, then leave it for …….. who????? Of course, before I can take any pictures, I have to step carefully around all the dog crap that people have just left…. then as I took the pictures, just missed a nice pile by Connor’s house…… If you have a dog….take care of it….. all of it!!!

OK……. Just got an email from Noho…… you know….our buddy, that owns Noho’s Hawaiian Rest.’s in Eugene, Medford and Portland…… good guy…. now REALLY A GOOD GUY!!! He is bringing over an whole roasted pig and some of his good Mac Salad on Saturday….. so… looks like the first official “parking lot party” behind the surf shop…… starting around 3p…… good food…byob to some degree…… should be a really good feast / treat!!!!! Looking pretty nasty…… as one person put it….”morning sickness” from the storm yesterday, but maybe some slight possibilities with high tide……. might drive around…… yesterday, “if you don’t like the weather, wait 15 min’s” was very true!!! W 10-12ft today @ 9-12 sec’s with am SW winds 20+mph, building to 40+mph out of the South. Tuesday showing a bit of promise…. W9@9 with light N/NW winds….. Wed., W 10ft with light NW winds. Thursday NW9ft with light N winds…. another possible…. then Friday, W 12ft with NW winds 20+mph………… So…. the week looks like alot of looking around and finding a “spot”…………
The weekend was pretty good…. lots of people out on Saturday, and stayed over for Sunday…. weather was all over the place….. everything…… The sun came out on Saturday for my granddaughters birthday, and it was fun to see all the little rodents running around….. although, Emma was thrilled that her uncle Mark showed up at the party…. my hugs were only after she got to see him…… Then Sunday……. let’s see…… I got to spend time with my son cruising Beaverton in a UHaul truck…… how cool is that…. just when I thought I was too old to be even thinking of cool……. yep…. moved his stuff out of storage to his new apt. in the city….. 14 F’ing stairs to his place……. nice place, but damn near killed me , especially his damn mattress…..thing is huge!!! But then he took me out to a late lunch at a little bar near his apartment…. Malones, off Murray and Osprey….. have to say, that the young lady who waited on us was fantastic…. haven’t seen a person working that was having fun and making all around her enjoy the afternoon as well……. wish I knew her name, but if you go there, and the service and food are as good as we had, then it might be her that is taking care of you….. my new favorite bar in Beaverton……

Big change from yesterday…… W 10-11ft @ 8-10 sec’s, with NW winds 30+mph this morning…. looking like an angry ocean……. Rained most of the night, and rumor has it that we may see some sunbreaks today….. that would be a plus! Monday: W 10ft @ 10 sec’s with S winds 20+mph…… possibilities….. Tuesday W 10ft with light W winds…… Wed. W 10ft with NW winds 15+mph. Thursday drops a bit to W 9ft with light N winds….. So…. looks like there might be a few challenges in finding some surf this week….. but not impossible…… Just got an email from “The Gordon”…..seems he hurt his back this week….. sorry to hear about it, but I did flip him shit ……….

What a great morning……. sunshine!! Had to scrape damn ice, but the sun is melting off the morning frost…… Surf is not as big as was projected by the reports…. still a bit on the junky side, but with a little looking around, you will find some waves…….. NW6-8ft @ 11 sec’s, with light SE winds this morning, and SUNSHINE!….. supposed to build to 10ft.later…… and supposed to rain tonight…. so…… get some this morning!!!! I will be heading out very soon…… Sunday W 12ft @ 12 sec’s with NW winds 20+mph Monday W9ft with S winds 30+mph….. possible? Tuesday W 10ft with light W winds…. Wed. W 10ft with N winds 25+mph. So….. a little creative thought will find some surf for the first week of spring….. I will be enjoying some cake with my granddaughter this afternoon, so the day is beyond excellent!!!!

Just got this from Gul Wetsuits…. the video is pretty cool….. but, the big news…. Today is Emma, my granddaughter’s 5th Birthday….. and to make this even better, it is also Cory “the foot” ‘s Birthday as well…… only he is about 25 years older than Emma…… and not nearly as cute!!!

Got out again this morning with the foot, finger, SB, Dallas and a few others….. can’t use the word epic by any means, but did get some waves…. off shores blowing pretty good…… W 5-7ft @ 10 sec’s with S winds blowing 25+mph….. and that damn annoying drizzle…. Sat. might be OK as well…. W9ft @ 10 sec’s with S winds 25+….. Sunday …..nada….. W 12ft/14ft with NW winds 25+…. Monday and Tuesday NW/W 10ft with S/SW winds 20+
