We are close to the end of the “project”…… today, Coaster Construction finished the fence…. part of the requirements from the city to shrink our driveway to the allowed 24 ft……. they did a nice job doing the “wave”……. final step…. dirt and plants……. and a few “adjustments”…. but overall, I think it turned out very nice…… Rich Walton did the design on the building, Sitka Design did the landscape drawings….. and Coaster Construction did the work….. along with all the great sub’s that were involved…… Now, if the surf would clean up……….

Looks pretty crappy everywhere I looked…… small, junky and blown out…… W 5-8ft @ 8 sec’s with W/NW winds 25+mph….. Wed. ???? NW 10ft @ 13 sec’s with SW wind 25+mph….. Thursday W 13ft with W/NW winds 30+mph….. Friday NW 16ft with NW winds 35mph…. Sat. might settle down to W 11ft with light S winds….. Shit!

Checked around….. looks like the ocean has some “morning sickness” left over from the storms over the weekend….. but, with some water coming in , might be much better….. report calling for W8@10 sec’s, but looks more like NW 6 @ 10 sec’s, with light am NW Winds, and the damn minus low tide at 10am today….. Swell dropping tonight…. I might have to change my schedule, and go after work today….. Tuesday looks pretty damn fun… hopefully!! W7@ 10 sec’s, but the NW winds picking up 25+mph, and the minus low tide at 11am. Wed. picks up a bit to NW 10ft with SW winds 20+ mph and low tide at noon….. Thursday really gets nasty,, NW 18ft with NW winds 35+mph…. Friday starts to settle down…. W 16ft with W winds gusting 30+… high tide at 7a,

Nasty today….. really nasty….. W 16-18ft today with NW winds 35+mph this morning….. Supposed to drop to NW 9ft this evening….. Monday and Tuesday look like the best days of the week…… Mon. W8@ 10 sec’s with light NW winds…damn low tide at 10a…… only downside…. Tuesday, W6ft with light NW Winds…. low tide at 11a……. Then Wed. starts to pick up… NW 10ft with SW winds 25+mph…. april 1st…. you know what day that is….. low tide at noon…… Thursday… NW 14ft with NW winds 25+mph….. shit……..

Well, as promised, NOHO stopped by around 2, and dropped off the pig, Mac Salad, sticky rice, yakasobi noodles, Noho’s Chicken, and bottles of his famous sauce………. and, we set it up in the back room, on an old surfboard and stocking tray………. had some good people show up and ate like little piglets…… then Hawaiian Hank showed up with some pan fried clams that he harvested this morning….. and more food was devoured…… Tom Drumheller brought some beer and chips….. and more was downed……. Not a bad showing for the pouring rain, and confined inside….. lots of food made it to several homes for feasts later…… I am stuffed!!!!!! Thanks Noho for the great surprise!!!! And thanks to all those that made it over….

Big and nasty……. W 12/13ft @12-15sec’s with AM South winds 25+ mph…. later W/NW winds 35+mph….. Last note is that Noho is still coming down….. around 3p… we are getting the tarps out…… under the new deck…. Spent the morning having coffee at the cove with the other old fart surfers…… then driving back through town, gave some friends a hand moving a grand piano out of their business……. good picture, too bad no one took it….. 4 guys moving a grand piano downtown on Hemlock, blocking traffic…… yep, still a good morning, even though we didn’t get any surf……
Mon – Wed. should be better, NW 8 – 10ft with light winds….. sunday….nasty……

Better this morning, but damn minus low tide….. high tide not until around 2:30p….. probably best around 10:30a today, although yesterday, it got pretty junky at high tide….. maybe better today….. of course it will be, I will be in the F’ City……. W 6ft @ 11 sec’s with light W winds in the am, turning NW later but only around 15 mph….. Saturday looking better than expected, S 11ft @ 14 sec’s with morning light S winds, turning SW later to 25+mph….. Luau at the shop! Sunday…. NW 13ft with NW winds 25+mph Monday W9ft with light W winds, Tuesday NW 9ft with light NW winds……. Have fun!@!!!!

Ray Prom had his crew in pouring the new planters and curbs….. it will look pretty nice, but does cut down on parking in front…. we have lots of parking in back…… thanks to the city for making us cut down the length of our driveway to 24ft…… after all, they made it 40+ft when they put in the sidewalk…… not alot of love right now for them……. Emma, Bird, Bina and Kellye got their foot/handprints in the new cement……

Not too bad at all this morning…….. Finger and the Posse from the North went out early…., I am going to wait for some water to come in, probably around 10 or 10:30a, and might warm up to at least 40…. now 35…… W 6-8ft @ 10-12 sec’s, with light NE winds…… low tide was at 7:20a….. Friday W9ft @ 12 sec’s with light NW winds in the morning…. will no doubt be good ( I won’t be here)…… still better with some water in there…… Sat., Luau day with Noho at the surf shop..3p! NW 12 ft with ligth SW winds…… Sunday NW 15ft with NW winds 20+mph…. then Monday…. looking pretty good…. W8ft with med to light W winds…….
