Sunset last night..... pretty spectacular! Drove around this morning, but going to give it a little more time to get some water in.... Cove was about head high, but mostly closing out.... saw the Sandy and friends.... even Arnold...... then went back over the head to check Indian, "the foot" called and said it was maybe OK...... needs more water.... then went over to check needles... ran into an old friend... Casey..... got caught up a bit, surf is shaping up..... needs a little more water.... so, when I am done here.... going back out...... Today W6ft @ 10-13sec's had N winds earlier, but supposed to change to SE...... Tuesday , Wed . and Thursday, about the same, then picks up Friday to S. 13ft with S winds..... looks interesting......

Beautiful morning..... off shores are blowing..... air temp in the low 50's..... surf looks much better than yesterday..... about W 8-9ft with outside sets hitting 12-13ft..... but..... better for me... Monday... W8ft @13 sec's with E winds...... Tues - thurs gets good as well, W 5-7ft with S winds all week...... and, today is my youngest granddaughters first birthday.... Happy Birthday Bina!!

You know it is big, when you can see the outside sections breaking from the view from our new deck..... now I am thinking that when we are done, we might want to add a catwalk on the roof...... I think the view up there would even be better!

Drove up to Indian this morning........ yep..... big..... seems some guy went out yesterday afternoon, snapped his longboard....left his bag in the parking lot..... he can find his bag at the ranger station...... picked up last night...... Big this morning....breaking way the hell out there..... W 10-14ft @ 10-12 sec's... didn't see the 20 sec's that the surf reports are calling for.....but maybe later???? N winds picking up 25+ today. Sunday W 9-11ft with N/NE winds..... then Monday starts to clean up..... am W8ft dropping to W 6ft later, Tuesday W7ft with S winds, and Wed. W6ft with S winds...... this weekend, will be good for some hikes on the beach, supposed to have sun.... high tide at 11a with a good 6.5 push..... should have some "stuff" wash up....... Then we will see some of you Mon-Wed...........

Late today, had to pick up the trusty old van from the shop....... stopped by the cove on the way back..... looked better than here, but still pretty junky...... there were some waves if one really needed to get wet...... maybe...... this side of the head, bigger and meaner.... W 9ft -10ft @ 7-10 sec's, with N winds picking up later to 20+....... Sat still looking big... am, NW 11 ft, building to W14ft later with N/NE winds. Sunday W12ft, dropping to W8ft later with NE winds..... Mon and Tues W7ft with S/Se winds..... One of my mini rants:..... some of us old farts will remember the old days, when the saying "question authority" meant something..... now, those that did the questioning, are now the authority, they sure don't like it when some schmuck from Ohio who works in the trades questions the "authority".......... watching the news, made me think...... and some may think that this in itself is dangerous......

Took a drive to the cove this morning.... el crappola...... saw some of the guys.... had a nice chat, gave Sandy some shit, and moved on to drop the van off at the shop.... then back here....the good news... Sunshine from now until next tuesday! Surf looking pretty nasty around here, but with some protection from the north, one might find a spot..... W 9ft, but looks like alot of NW in the swell, N winds gusting 25+ today... air temp in the low 60's..... Friday looking about the same, then Sat. and Sunday hit with NW 14 to 11 ft with N/NE winds..... Monday looking the best, W6ft with SE winds..... Hell yes! a much needed break...... and sun as well!!

Got out early with "the foot" and Stuck Up....... looked so much better from the parking lot..... look on Cory's face pretty much tells the story.... but, every now and then after I got out of the water, looked like a decent head to overhead set would come through and sort to hold up...... Most waves were chest to OH..... W 7ft @ 11 sec's, picking up to 8ft later, with E winds 10 - 20 mph..... was a bit tough getting into the waves with the off shores blowing...... water temp was still nice.... 4/3 was fine.... Picking up on Thursday to W10ft @ 13 sec's..... NW Winds..... Friday drops a bit to W9ft with NW Winds, then Sat. is supposed to hit with W 14ft and N winds, dropping a bit to W 11ft on Sunday...... Finger and his posse showed up to get some waves, along with Cheap Bastard.......(finger in the last picture) Sun is out...... should be a good day......

Not sure how many people know this, but today is our own "Bird's" 21st Birthday!! Happy Birthday Kid!!! And she is not even here to celebrate..... back at school in Eugene...... Bird has been with the shop for over 7 years........ she started when she was 14..... we are just a little proud of her...... and this picture is ..... well.......... one that is thought provoking...... We love ya Bird!!!! oh julie!

Colder this morning, but the sun is out..... getting better..... now that I just finished working at the market, going to take a drive and see what I can find........ today, W7-8ft with SE winds early, turning NE later..... Wed. looking great!! NW8ft @ 11 sec's and E winds.....oh hell yes...... Thur. W 10-11ft with N winds, same for Friday, then picking up Sat. to W14ft and N winds......um.... not sure about that......

South winds this morning...... this side of the head blown out..... went over to the cove, ran into "the foot".... we watched it for a bit, one guy out.... looked pretty bumpy, wind was on it, about chest to head, not too enticing..... might be better if the wind lets up a bit and some water comes in..... W 6-7ft @ 8-10 sec's..... Tues. W 9ft @ 10 sec's with SE winds.... Wed. about the same, then Thurs and Fri picks up to W 13 with NW winds, turning SW on Friday..... Weekend is starting to shape up.....
