Today was the first day that we had rain most of the day..... Rick and his crew still got some of the siding done on the first floor...... Papa John got a couple of his "corbels" (sp?) mounted on the corners..... Tony ( our son in law) got the electrical inspection approved. So, looks like the insulation goes in on Thursday, Ray Prom is supposed to start the final bit of concrete work, and they deliver the drywall on Friday....... The fireplace up stairs should be in by Friday as well. John - Coaster Construction had to take off to help his daughter Julie "The Bird" move to U of O today..... she has worked for us for over 6 years...... My major league compliments to all..... even the city guys showed up today to fix a few problems, and offer to have the sidewalk fixed, and not at our cost! I keep saying that this has gone so smooth....... guess we are just "blessed"..... hope it continues!!

Bird finally got her new board last night.... Fedex delivered late, but not late enough so that she wasn't able to get it out..... She said she loves it! Too bad the surf didn't cooperate this morning, would have liked to see her get a second session before she went off to U of O..... hopefully she will be back for her birthday in Oct., and the surf will better!

Got a late start this morning, checked Indian, but the S winds were already on it..... one guy out..... 2 guys in the parking lot..... so, Bird and I went over to the cove, at first, almost flat, but as we were there, started picking up, but so did the winds.... 3 guys out, most waves closing out and hitting the bar pretty hard..... damn cold wind too! But at least the old guys at the cove got to give their best to the Bird before she heads off to school today. She got her new board last night, the Linden order showed up, so she was able to get a session in on her new 7'....... Got the boards in for Brogan and Travis as well. And one new one for the shop, that is beyond belief!! Today, W 3ft am, building to W 7-9ft with S / SW winds 25-30 mph.... Thursday picking up to W 11 @ 12 sec's with SW winds....... will go over to the cove late morning on Thursday.... Friday supposed to drop to NW8ft, then the weekend looks like W 5-6ft with S winds......
