Drove over to the cove, after looking at needles…… looked bigger, a bit cleaner over there….. Paloma checked Indian, and met me at the cove…. nada….. ugly….. Sandy B paddled out, long ass paddle….. Larry was suiting up….. I had to be back here to take care of a large kids group that we do surf lessons for about twice a summer….. one of the kids was born without legs…. now there, is one tough kid….. and she gets out on the board…. loves the ocean…. so, maybe I will try to get wet after we get them taken care of , and we get some damn water in here……. NW 6ft @ 9sec’s…. waves were heading straight into the rocks…. shorebreak was looking brutal, no rip to speak of…. Friday NW 5ft @ 9s ec’s with SW winds…. Sat. W4-5ft with N winds…. Sun. W4ft with NW winds, then on Mon. NW5 with N winds….. Looks to be a nice day at the beach…. supposed to get some rain later tonight…..???

No…. didn’t get out, been really busy at the market, then got to > the shop and it was even busier…. this is the first chance I have had to even get to the computer….. damn, it sure is good to have this problem!! Looks bigger and junkier than yesterday…. W 7-8ft @ 8-10 sec’s, with the N winds picking up later. Arnold stopped by early this morning, said he had checked the cove, and the waves were hitting directly from the north, Indian was just messy, so he said something about doing the “work thing”….. Thursday, W7, changing NW 6ft @ 10 sec’s , Friday S 5ft with S winds….. Sat and Sun, W6ft with N winds changing to NW on sunday.

took the short drive to the cove this morning…. small and crappy, but at least protected from the S winds blowing with gusts 25+ today. Supposed to turn to NW later this afternoon…. am, W 3-4ft @ 9-11 sec’s, but supposed to pick up to W 7ft later…. cove might get blown out later, so this side of the head might be better…. Wed. looks like it will pick up to W8ft with NW winds…. again, this side of the head….. Thurs. drops a bit to 6ft with N winds….. then Friday and Sat. the swell turns from the SW to 5ft, with light NW winds….. setting up to be a fun weekend….
Sorry to say, I missed wishing Dennis Varde in Hawaii a happy birthday last weekend….. one of us good old classic surfers…. even though he is doing that stand up thing……
Did get to spend some time at the cove this morning getting caught up with the old guys over there…Sandy, Larry , John etc….. good to be with old guys like yourself from time to time…… not saying that I don’t enjoy surfing with “my kids”, but, some things can only be understood by us old folks….. I enjoyed it! Good laughs!!

Had a fun morning session with Paloma, Arnold and pretty boy, then we had a few more people out…… had a few head, most chest to waist….. Water was not as cold as usual…. NW 5-6ft @ 9-11 sec’s, supposed to get SW winds later, Tuesday am NW 3ft, but building to 7ft later in the day….. Wed and Thursday should be W7ft, then dropping on Friday to about 5ft…… hopefully will stay glassy in the mornings….

Foggy this morning, some slight south winds, surf is still looking a bit on the junky side…. drove over to the cove later in the morning yesterday….. cars everywhere…. surf was all of ankle to knee, but at least glassy…. might be the same today… W 3-5ft @ 9sec’s….. winds supposed to turn to NW later….. Mon and Tues W6ft…. Wed – Thurs W8ft….. hell yes!
The foot was in, he in on the quest for waves with his new linden longboard…….

Went early, then Bird, her dad and brother paddled out….. was small, junky , bumpy and mushy…. didn’t surf with my friend “Aleve”, so was a bit painful….. need to restock….. pictures look much better than it was…… but, still had waves and some fun…. shared a couple with the Bird….. W 2-4ft, with S winds turning NW later…. Sunday W 4ft @ 10 sec’s with NW winds…. Monday W/NW 5-6ft with Nw winds. Tuesday and Wed….. W7ft wtih SW winds

Ankle to Knee high this morning…. going to take a drive in a bit, but not expecting too much….. SW 3@ 16sec’s, with N winds turning SW later. Low tide at 11:45a, high tide at 6p…… Sat. W 3/4ft with drizzle…..Sunday W 5ft with more drizzle…. Monday NW 5ft, sunny…. Tuesday supposed to pick up to NW 8ft….. Water temp today 53…… gloves are your friend…..

got out at 6a….. had it to myself for about an hour…. lots of knee to waist high nuggets…. as the tide started going out, got a bit junkier, but still small and clean sets….. Paloma and “The Foot” on his new longboard linden got out around 7a, then around 8a more people started showing up… got a few shots of DL Jim and his buddy Sean….. more ammo for Sean….. I have lots of pictures!! well worth the early morning session…..and fun surfing with the kids..,

Dropped today, but early would have been fun….(had to be at the market early….) NW 4ft @ 9sec’s, with N winds gusting to 30+MPH…… something new…. North winds!?!?! Thursday and Friday NW-W 3ft with N winds, Sat. /w4ft, Sun. W 5ft with N winds…..

First 2 are from the cove, thought it would be good over there, guess it was OK yesterday afternoon, junky and bigger this morning…..so, after the morning consultation with Paloma, Sandy , Larry and Bob, went over to Indian…. it might have been better earlier (bad call to go to the cove first), and Stuck up looks like he got a couple, but as the minus low tide peaks at 9:45a, DL and I decided to go to work and see what happens later….. W4-6ft today at 9 sec’s, with a new surprise…. N winds later to 20+mph…. Rest of the week looks like 3-5ft with the N – NW winds…..
